Artist Biography 

For the last 15 years watercolor painting has been my passion. In the last three years I’ve been able to dedicate myself fulltime to this passion, after a career working with North Coast California non-profit organizations.

The memory of that first moment I dropped some watercolor paint into water still gives me a thrill! And I’ve been in love with watercolor painting ever since. Those first years I checked out every how-to art book in our community library, painting a few hours at a time on my kitchen counter after my children were asleep. From that slow beginning I’ve taken many classes from College of the Redwoods, Humboldt State University, gone to workshops out of the area and participate in two critique groups.

Combining my love of painting with my love of the outdoors and living on the coast of Northern California, one of the most beautiful places on earth, has been inspirational. I live with my husband Ron in Bayside, a little hamlet nestled between Eureka and Arcata on the Redwood Coast, a 5- hour drive from San Francisco.
